After years of defeat, the New York Knicks continue to renovate their front office.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Knicks are finalizing the hiring of Utah vice president Jazz Walt Perrin as assistant general manager under Scott Perry while reshuffling the front office under new team president Leon Rose.
“Perrin is a respected executive who has worked in the Jazz organization for 19 years,” writes Charania.

After expecting great success last summer in the free agency and beating big, it was a topic of change during the 2019-20 season for the Knicks, who fired the head coach David Fizdale and the team president Steve Mills after that the team has come to a slow start. Once Rose was hired, many thought that Director-General Scott Perry’s job might also be in jeopardy, but he was granted a one-year extension to stay with the club during the NBA 2020-21 season.
The Knicks are also expected to pursue hiring a new coach in the off-season to replace the head of the interim bench.
