The Philadelphia 76ers defeat the New York Knicks on Saturday night 109-89 and under normal circumstances, this would only have been a merciless victory in December. However, 2020 was anything but a period of buzz.

In this current case, it was a pivotal victory for coach Doc Rivers who scored his 945th career win as head coach in his 22nd season. The win overtook Bill Fitch for an all-time 10th place in NBA history.

“It’s a great feeling,” Rivers said after the win. “That’s not why I train, but it’s an honor and it tells you I’ve been very successful. He also says that I have had many good players and also many great coaches around me”.
