Patrick Ewing, New York Knicks Hall-of-Famer, shared with the audience on Friday that he tested positive for COVID-19.
The Georgetown coach tweeted a statement saying that “this virus is serious and should not be taken lightly. I want to encourage everyone to stay safe and take care of themselves and loved ones. “
Ewing is treated and isolated in a local hospital, according to a Georgetown statement. He is the only member of the Georgetown men’s basketball program to have tested positive for the virus.
