Opposing team believes Andre Drummond isn’t the right fit for Knicks

Andre Drummond is expected to be one of the hottest names in the trade or waivers market the next few weeks with several teams being interested to add him to their roster.

Among those teams could be the New York Knicks, who are looking to add a quality bigman as they’re fighting for a place in the postseason this year.

Although, one opposing team doesn’t think that’s the best idea for a team that is built around All-Star Julius Randle, who’s having a breakout season in New York.

“I don’t love it for Randle,” the team said to Ian Begley of SNY. “Drummond plays close to the rim, so you’re limiting what Randle can do. Long-term, it doesn’t make a lot of sense to me.”

Randle has been excellent this season averaging 23.2 points shooting 48.0-percent from the field and 41.5-percent from deep. He also registers 11.0 rebounds and nearly six assists per contest.

Several teams have reportedly expressed interest in signing Andre Drummond with the Lakers, the Nets and the Wizards being among them.
