New York Knicks needs to solve the point guard problem

The Knicks have had a point guard problem for too long, and this could finally be the offseason to fix it. But how?

As soon as Leon Rose took over the presidency of the franchise, rumors circulated about the former agent’s client, Chris Paul. Fred VanVleet, the best unrestricted free agent on the market, may be the perfect age (26) to teach the youngsters on the team the winning ways and continue to contribute at a high level as that talent matures.

Or is it better to tackle this problem on draft night? Slipping from number 6 to number 8 in the lottery didn’t help, but it wasn’t a complete disaster. One or both Tyrese Haliburton and Killian Hayes may still be on the scoreboard, and that’s assuming the Knicks prefer them to Cole Anthony (who is on the scoreboard at number 8 in almost every simulation you’ll find). There may also be a trade opportunity for the Knicks to move within range of LaMelo Ball.
