David Fizdale was fired and the New York Knicks no longer stop. The Knicks put together their first set of victories in two games of the season after recovering from a 16-point third-quarter deficit. On Wednesday, after interrupting the series of defeats in 10 games, interim head coach Mike Miller’s Knicks won victories in California over Golden State and Sacramento.
Miller is now 2-2 since taking Fizdale’s place, and his Knicks showed resistance to the fourth quarter.
“I saw an incredible effort”, said Miller. “They were fun to watch. We were in positions where we suffered but they didn’t bring us down. In the fourth quarter there was an extraordinary defense of the team. We showed the character to come back when you are down”.
