NBA: Third Wizards player tests positive for COVID-19

A third Washington Wizards player has tested positive for COVID-19, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

The NBA already postponed the team’s games on Jan. 13 and Jan. 15 due to contact tracing and not having the league-required eight players.

Rui Hachimura and Moritz Wagner were recently placed in the league’s health and safety protocols, but their quarantine time hasn’t been announced.

Names of other players involved in contact tracing haven’t been released yet.

The NBA still has to decide on allowing the Wizards to play their home games against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Jan. 17 and Jan. 18, but the chances of avoiding more postponements are fading, notes Wojnarowski.
