Recently, Mitchell Robinson’s coach, Marcell Scott, pleaded on Instagram for Thibodeau to trust his client.
According to New York Basketball, he said that “Robinson has improved his free throw shooting, his athleticism has returned thanks to the pool workouts!”
“Mitch has developed some moves with his back to the basket!!! Please, Coach Thibs, give him that freedom on offense…” Scott said.
Last season, Robinson averaged 7.4 points and 9.4 rebounds. He has earned more rebounds than ever in his five-year career.
It’s clear that Robinson was used primarily for his defensive power, which certainly helped the Knicks.
But his coach now says Robinson can do a lot more and score a lot for New York.
