Lauri Markkanen also attracts the interest of the New York Knicks

New York Knicks president Leon Rose is poised to overturn the current list in an attempt to build a more competitive team for the recently hired head coach Tom Thibodeau. Could Chicago Bulls striker Lauri Markkanen be part of that solution?

Well, we know the Knicks are in dire need of shooting. We also know that they did their homework on Markkanen’s teammate, Zach LaVine.

A new Chicago Sun-Times report indicates that some teams are “focusing” on several Bulls players in addition to LaVine, including Markkanen and Wendell Carter Jr.

While the report notes that the talks weren’t serious at all, Markkanen’s name was highlighted as a potential commercial target after it was revealed in April that he wasn’t satisfied with coach Jim Boylen.
