LaMelo Ball wants to play for the Knicks

While SNY previously reported that those close to LaMelo Ball would like to see it edited by the Knicks, and Ball’s father made it clear in a recent podcast why he thinks Broadway is the best place for his son, a new report by Ian Begley of SNY says that more teams plan to choose after the Knicks in the next draft believe that Ball and those in his circle prefer to land in New York.

The Knicks have the sixth best chance of winning the lottery to get the best choice. They have a 37.2% chance of landing in the top four. While some teams at the top of the lottery seem to prefer other options than Ball, it is expected to be selected at the top of the draw, which means that the Knicks should trade if the ping pong balls don’t arrive and remain their guard goal of the highest point.

That said, New York is well positioned to make a move with one more pick from the Clippers’ first round in this year’s draft and two future first-round picks from Dallas.
