The New York Knicks have not traded for an All-Star since Carmelo Anthony in 2011. Bradley Beal is currently on the Knicks radar and is sending their power broker to make it happen.

ESPN radio host Michael Kay reported this week that well-known Knicks executive William Wesley, aka World Wide Wes, is recruiting Beal to the team via backchannel.

“The Knicks have World Wide Wes on their side,” Kay said, according to Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News. “And it’s been in the ear of some of Beal’s people, and kind of pushes them by saying that this might be the time to push for a trade.”

Wesley, who is the executive vice president of the Knicks, was hired in June by longtime Creative Arts Agency partner Leon Rose.
