According to the New York Post’s Yaron Weitzman, Tom Thibodeau’s first intentions were not to build the new New York Knicks around Julius Randle.
Tom Thibodeau has always been skeptical of Randle, until he met him and was impressed.
Randle is on the rise with an average of 23.2 points, 11.1 rebounds and 5.5 assists while making his first team All-Star, so much so that Thibodeau literally handed him the keys to the team.
