Knicks, this must be the star that needs to land in New York

Like every offseason, the Knicks are looking for a star. This time, however, the situation is different. The Knicks have the advantage of having had a good season until the playoff elimination against Miami. A result that can attract the landing of several stars who would like to change teams.

The Knicks are privileged but they have to choose well. New York needs to get a star that can connect well to Jalen Brunson. Joel Embiid has been approached at the Knicks but it honestly looks pretty tough. The same can be said of Anthony Davis and Jrue Holiday who are now untouchable even if everything can change later.

The Knicks also have to decide well as landing a new star in New York would mean having to give up a pack of players that could include RJ Barrett, Mitchell Robinson, Quentin Grimes, Immanuel Quickley and Obi Toppin.

To trade these players, the Knicks must receive the top of the NBA. We are talking about the likes of Jayson Tatum, Devin Booker, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and Jaylen Brown who, however, will not move at the moment.

That means the Knicks need to weigh the potential trade for a star calmly and carefully. New York shouldn’t strike at random but only with the aim of improving and becoming even more competitive.
