Knicks, Thibodeau answers about Mitchell Robinson’s future

Thibodeau offered an interesting answer when asked if he believed the Knicks’ Mitchell Robinson could develop into a well-rounded center in how Joakim Noah transformed from a defense-conscious player to an MVP candidate for the Bulls under his protection.

“Each player is different. Mitch has several strengths”, Thibodeau said before Robinson contributed eight points and 11 rebounds to the Knicks’ 107-103 win on Wednesday night at the United Center.” Joakim’s growth part of the game was fantastic.

“He started out as a defensive, an energetic guy, a guy who managed the pitch well. And actually, when Derrick Rose got hurt, we put the offense on him. He was an excellent passer, decision maker, very good at dribbling and I think it’s a part of Mitch’s game that can grow. And so we will challenge him in this way. “
