The Knicks who won against the Hawks had several players absent due to injury:
Nerlens Noel (left ankle sprain), G Alec Burks (left ankle sprain), G Frank Ntilikina (right knee sprain), G Dennis Smith Jr. (left quadriceps bruised), F Omari Spellman (right knee pain) and F Obi Toppin (right calf strained) was unable to play due to injuries.
Coach Tom Thibodeau said Burks is closest to returning to action. “All the players will be screened when we return to New York,” Thibodeau said. “Alec is making pretty good progress right now.”
