When the New York Knicks signed Julius Randle with a $ 63 million three-year contract during the 2019 off-season, many questioned the decision. About a year after the move, the Knicks are reportedly open to move one of their valuable free agent purchases a year ago.

According to a New York Post report, the Knicks are still interested in moving Randle, who has a team option for the 2021-22 season.

New York will almost certainly reject the 2021-22 team option for Randle if they don’t find a business partner.

There is no doubt that the Knicks will fight in an uphill battle in their attempts to move Randle. The worst kept secret in the world is that the Knicks want as clean a sheet of cap as possible to travel to the 2021 offseason. That means either rejecting the team option on Randle or trying desperately to swap it.
