Gordon Hayward is expected to sign a $ 120 million four-year deal with the Charlotte Hornets, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
In order to create space for the deal, the Hornets would have to give up on Nicolas Batum.
Earlier in the week, Hayward opted for a $ 34 million player option for the 2020-21 season, opting to seek a long-term deal elsewhere.
The Knicks were said to have an interest in Hayward, but according to SNY’s Ian Begley, it was unlikely they would offer the 30-year-old winger a four-year deal.
