The Knicks signed second-year NBA point guard Jared Harper for a duo deal on Wednesday. Harper, 23, was a rookie with the Phoenix Suns in 2019-20.
The Suns gave up on Harper on March 14. He spent most of his first season as a pro as a G-League player with the Northern Arizona Suns, averaging 20.8 points and 5.7 assists in 30 minutes over 33 games (all starts).
At the NBA level with the Suns in three games, Harper scored two points in eight minutes. Harper declared for the 2019 NBA Draft after his junior season at Auburn in 2018-19, but was not selected.
