The New York Knicks are among the teams interested in signing free agent guard Fred VanVleet, reports Stefan Bondy of the Daily News.
The Raptors are favorites to keep VanVleet, according to Bondy, but he can sign with any team as an unrestricted free agent this offseason. VanVleet’s stepfather Joe Danforth says he heard the Pistons and Suns may also have an interest in signing VanVleet.
The Knicks, who have plenty of cap room and need a starting point guard, could present an intriguing opportunity for VanVleet.
