Although James Harden just showed up at the Houston Rockets training camp after missing for a few days, commercial rumors continued to surround the former NBA MVP. Most of them have focused on potential moves to the Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers, but as Bleacher Report suggested Wednesday, the New York Knicks may have the resources to convince the Rockets to part ways with the disgruntled shooting guard.
As proposed by the publication, the Knicks could acquire Harden for RJ Barrett and Julius Randle, the first-round picks in the drafts of 2021, 2023 and 2025, and two future second-rounders. The plausibility of such a deal, Bleacher Report added, will depend on how Barrett perceives himself after his 2019-20 rookie season, where he was “historically inefficient” despite producing solid numbers.
