Knicks reportedly to cut Trevor Keels

The Knicks are expected to cut shooting guard Trevor Keels after reaching agreement on a two-way contract with former Cavaliers guard Dylan Windler, per Fred Katz of The Athletic.

Keels, 19, is 6-foot-5 and was reportedly re-signed to a two-way deal last week. He originally signed with the Knicks after going undrafted out of Duke in 2022.

He appeared in just three games with the Knicks as a rookie, averaging less than 3 minutes in those.

But he had a decent run with the Westchester Knicks of the G League, averaging 13.9 points, 3.4 assists and 2.8 rebounds, shooting 43 percent from the field and 36 percent on 3-pointers.

It seems likely that Keels is headed back to the G League, perhaps even again with Westchester.
