Knicks reportedly interested in signing Kyle Lowry in the offseason

Kyle Lowry is going to become a free agent in the offseason and several teams are expected to show interest to sign him.

The New York Knicks are considering adding the veteran guard, according to SNY’s Ian Begley. The Knicks are looking to add a starting caliber guard to the team with several names being linked to the NY franchise.

“They’re keeping an eye on Damian Lillard and any other star who may seek a trade if things go sideways with their current franchises. They also have guards like Dennis Schroder, Lonzo Ball and – per SNY sources –  Kyle Lowry – on the radar for the offseason,” Begley wrote

The Knicks are expected to be among the teams with plenty of room in their salary cap as they are hoping to make a big ‘splash’ to reinforce their current squad.

The NY franchise nearly doubled their win total as Julius Randle is leading the team to its first playoff appearance in eight years. The Knicks need two more wins to secure a playoff berth.
