On Wednesday night, Julius Randle and the Knicks will face Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets in Denver.

Jokic tops most MVP conversations. Randle has a chance to get more firmly in the discussion with a win over the Nuggets.

Randle was asked Monday night if he feels he belongs in the MVP conversation.

“For sure, I’m not going to avoid that,” he said after scoring 28 points, six rebounds and six assists in a win over Memphis. “For me it’s about improving from game to game, improving as a player. I am not focused on this.

“The praise is obviously great and all but I’m not focused on that. For me, all I care about is improving, continuing to lead the match as a team after a match. As I said before, our team, I feel like we can compete against anyone”.
