Knicks, Payton and Randle drive to victory over the Blazers

Elfrid Payton and Julius Randle scored 22 points each to lead the New York Knicks to a 110-99 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday.

Six players scored in double figures for New York, who won two in a row and improved to 11-13. RJ Barrett scored 18 points, Alec Burks added 16 and reserve mate Immanuel Quickley had 12.

New York led 57-51 in the half and 84-76 after the third quarter, after beating Portland 58-45 in the middle two quarters.

Portland cut him to 90-85 after Simons’ three-point play, but New York beat Portland 16-7 in a 4:35 arc to extend his lead to 106-92. The sprint was highlighted by a runaway dunk from Payton and Burks draining a 25-foot pullup.
