Knicks: Obi Toppin linked to Cavs, Kings

An unnamed league executive has linked Toppin with two teams that may give him a better opportunity outside his hometown of New York.

“There have been teams that want to snatch Obi out of there in recent years”, Eastern Conference general manager Sean Deveney told Heavy Sports. “Cleveland would have an interest. Makes a lot of sense in Sacramento. But the Knicks are giving every indication they want to keep him, at least until he gets that first bigger deal, and maybe they could transfer him then”.

The Cavaliers waived Toppin in the 2020 NBA Draft and selected Isaac Okoro #5.
