Knicks, NY may be the right place for Michael Kidd-Gilchrist

The New York Knicks are interested in bolstering their perimeter defense and are looking into former number 2 general selection Michael Kidd-Gilchrist to achieve this.

As is well documented, Kidd-Gilchrist brings little to no effectiveness on the offensive side, except for the occasional back cut here and there, but it fits the profile of what manager Tom Thibodeau is looking for among his players.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist is sturdy and sturdy enough for players to work to get a clean look to the basket. Kidd-Gilchrist has also been used intermittently as a small ball center in previous NBA stops, which can provide a sense of his ability to protect the circle at times.

Having had a solid career so far but not achieving anything like the expectations placed on him regarding his project capital, Kidd-Gilchrist should be motivated to take the next step to be recognized as one of the NBA’s leading defenders. regardless of whether he ends up staying with the Knicks or somewhere else.

If he’s willing to accept reasonable terms and bring the lunch bucket mentality New York hopes to play with in 2020-2021, then the Big Apple may be the right place at the right time for him and the team.
