Knicks, Mitchell Robinson can only grow up in NY

This is a major source of frustration for Knicks fans: we see Robinson’s potential; we understand that it is probably our most valuable asset; yet, for two full seasons, we’ve seen him get very little time to play.

The aforementioned 22 minutes per game must change this season. Time to take off the training wheels and give the budding star a chance to play meaningfully. He deserves the chance to develop his talent, learn how to play while he’s in serious trouble, and build stamina in the game.

Thankfully, new head coach Tom Thibodeau is famous for playing his heavy first minutes. Hopefully, this will give Robinson a chance to see a noticeable increase in minutes. By extension, this should also allow him to rise to league leaders in the blocks. He could even lead the championship as early as next season. He should also see an increase in his scores and rebounds.
