Knicks, Mitchell Robinson can be the defender of the season

For the New York Knicks, under coach Tom Thibodeau, the underrated attribute of defensive dominance is central to the team’s identity. Predominantly defensive players have become a rarity in today’s NBA. But defensive tackle Mitchell Robinson insists he gets even better each season, staying healthy and making his case for Defensive Player of the Year.

Since Robinson entered the NBA, he has continued to develop into a defensive stopper. With a career-high nine blocks in just his 12th career game, glimpses of his rookie season suggest the sky is the limit. Unfortunately, untimely injuries have stunted the growth of a still-young Robinson, whose potential is skyrocketing at the start of the 2023-24 season.
