Mikal Bridges has had a rough start to the season, failing to live up to the promise many thought he had when he joined the Knicks. With his early slump, Knicks fans were concerned they were giving up a huge haul for a player who wouldn’t make much of an impact.
But in recent weeks, Bridges has finally turned things around, delivering the kind of performance the Knicks expected when they loaned him out. Over his last 10 games, Bridges is averaging 16.8 points, 3.4 assists, 3.0 rebounds, 0.9 steals and 0.3 blocks per game on 45/33/60 shooting.
He really impressed fans last weekend, when he single-handedly outclassed the entire New Orleans Pelicans team in the first quarter of their game. Knicks fans, despite losing to the Pistsons, were happy to see Bridges regain his form, as he is a crucial part of their championship aspirations this season.
