Knicks, Julius Randle has undergone arthroscopic surgery

Julius Randle has undergone arthroscopic surgery on his left ankle and is expected to be ready for New York Knicks training camp in the fall, ESPN sources reported Saturday.

The procedure, which was performed on Friday and deemed successful, will allow Randle to resume basketball activities by the end of the summer and make a full recovery by the start of the 2023-2024 season, sources said.

Randle suffered two significant ankle sprains in the Knicks’ final stages of the season as he realized he likely needed surgery, sources said, but he opted to get over the injury to stay in lineup for New York’s run to the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
