Knicks, Julius Randle earns his first NBA All-Star selection

Julius Randle is on his way to his first NBA All-Star Game.

SNY NBA insider Ian Begley confirms Randle, with career best numbers of 23.2 points, 11.0 rebounds and 41.0% three-pointers, is on the Eastern Conference reserve list, reported for the first time since The Athletic’s Shams Charania

Randle joins James Harden, Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Zach LaVine, Ben Simmons and Nikola Vucevic among Eastern Conference reserves, according to Charania.

While the East and West starters were determined by fan vote, the reserves were chosen by the 30 NBA head coaches. Now that all starters and reserves have been determined, captains Kevin Durant and LeBron James will each select their respective teams on Thursday 4 March, three days before the All-Star Game in Atlanta.
