Knicks’ Josh Hart was harshly mocked and played like a donkey in the loss to the Bulls

In one of the strangest endings to a game this season, the New York Knicks lost to the Chicago Bulls, 124-123, thanks to a reckless foul by Josh Hart on a Coby White three-pointer that gave the team the lead with three seconds left. After White made all three free throws, Jalen Brunson still had a chance to win the game, but his mid-range baseline shot circled the rim before going out. Because of his role in the loss, Josh Hart was mocked by fans who couldn’t believe his mistake.

Check out this replay of his late-game foul courtesy of Bricks Center on X, formerly Twitter. However, some fans may think from the replay that there was no contact and the referees shouldn’t have called anything.

Here are some fan reactions to Josh Hart’s heartbreaking miss that cost the Knicks the game against the Bulls.

First, @NBAMemes uploaded a reaction photo of Jalen Rose watching another mistake he made in Tuesday’s Heat-Pistons game: Erik Spoelstra calling a timeout when he didn’t have one, an uncharacteristic mistake that gifted the Pistons the game-winning free throw.

(The PTSD from the Michigan Wolverines losing the 1993 national championship to North Carolina on Chris Webber’s fatal timeout was evident on Rose’s face.)

Meanwhile, another user @Eagles_Arthur referenced the Knicks guard’s generosity in giving away free tickets to fans, but trolled him for his foul.

“[Josh Hart] instead of giving tickets to fat assholes who always play the victim, work on your off-ball defense, idiot,” the person commented.

Another fan account, @RyB_311, echoed the sentiments of the previous commenter.

“Josh Hart gave everyone courtside tickets to watch him sell out the LMFAO game,” they said.

On the other hand, @StephNoh checked the replay and wondered if there was any contact, asking, “Did Josh Hart foul Coby White’s hair?” However, the refs may have seen Hart touch White’s ball with his left hand as he leapt to shoot, hence the call.
