Knicks’ Jalen Brunson is brutally honest about the recent injury that really scared him

Over the last month or so, injury issues have piled up at an alarming rate for the New York Knicks, halting their momentum after they began to emerge as one of the association’s best teams to begin the 2024 calendar year. 3, Knicks fans held their breath after star Jalen Brunson, who led the team on offense following Julius Randle‘s injury, went down with a knee injury just 47 seconds into a 107-98 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Luckily for Knicks fans, the knee injury Brunson suffered was neither healthy nor serious; the 2024 first-time All-Star missed a grand total of one game when he returned to the court Friday night in a 98-74 demolition of the Orlando Magic, and he didn’t miss a beat, pouring in a game-high 26 points on ’11-19 shooting from the field.

While Jalen Brunson and the Knicks can rest easy now, as it appears the knee injury he suffered isn’t likely to last into the future, the 27-year-old point guard admitted he had plenty of reason to be concerned immediately after suffering the injury .

“I thought of 1,000 different situations of what could have happened and I’m happy it wasn’t,” Brunson said, according to Knicks Videos on SNY.
