Isaiah Roby, signed to the team at the end of last season, got his first taste of the ball as a pro after suffering a serious ankle injury. He was only medically cleared a couple of weeks before camp, so producing him should be taken with a grain of salt.
He was clearly shaking off the rust early on and became more comfortable with each game, eventually bumping into two transitioning defenders in one play. Overall he averaged 10 points and five rebounds on 50% shooting, which would have been welcome in the regular four-backup spot Obi Toppin used to own.
