Knicks, Isaac Okoro could be just what Tom Thibodeau wants

Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau is looking to change the culture of the franchise to one that emphasizes winning and defending. Isaac Okoro seems to be the right target to achieve these goals.

Okoro says he has tried to tell the teams that he will “introduce a winning culture”. By all accounts, Okoro presents himself as the best perimeter defender of the draft.

“Be a two-way player, stop the best player on the team and come out on offense and contribute,” Okoro said of his attributes during a Zoom call. “I feel that what separates me from everyone else in the draft is my willingness to win and [being] willing to do whatever it takes to help the team win, get in and play my role and be a defensive player.”

The Knicks will select at number 8 and Okoro remains on the radar with the club potentially passing over to a point guard.
