Knicks, Isaac Okoro ahead of everyone to be New York’s 8th choice

There should be a debate within the New York Knicks front office about how many shares to put into their lottery selection on the roster. Our guess is that new president Leon Rose will recognize that the Knicks are too far from being able to worry about anything other than drawing the best talent available.

The team is watching Devin Vassell and Kira Lewis Jr., but Isaac Okoro may have the edge here at number 8. Imagine winning New York with defense and tenacity, and although there are questions about his shooting, athleticism, efficiency of the score (60.7 percent of two points) and passing are compelling selling points.

There is also hope that his jump shot will reach an acceptable level. Okoro has made 20 triples in 28 games, won’t turn 20 until January and has a reputation for being professional and hardworking.
