New York Knicks center Mitchell Robinson is making good progress in his recovery from offseason foot surgery. The giant has been sidelined since last December, but he could be close to returning to the court.
According to SNY, Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau updated the media on Robinson’s rehab progress following New York’s 120-111 loss to the Detroit Pistons on Saturday night:
“Not really, but he’s making good steady progress,” Thibodeau said of Robinson moving forward with his recovery program. “I said let’s just say it in full, because he’s been through some other things, but nothing with the team yet. So he’s making good steady progress and we’ll be patient with him. He’s doing a great job, so it’s nice to have him back on the team.”

As for whether the 26-year-old has taken up running or sprinting specifically, Thibodeau said:
“No, there’s a progression that he has to go through and he’s not quite there yet. But making some light shots on the floor, that kind of thing,” the Knicks’ lead play-caller continued.
