The New York Knicks shook up the NBA landscape over the weekend when they made a deal with the Toronto Raptors to bring in OG Anunoby.
The Knicks sent Immanuel Quickley, RJ Barrett, and a 2024 second-round pick to land Precious Achiuwa, Malachi Flynn, and Anunoby.
New York is apparently all-in on the 2023-24 NBA season after making such an aggressive move, though there are already reports that the team may not be done dealing.
While giving away talented young players like Quickley and Barrett hurts, the Knicks still have enough assets to make another trade.
Anunoby is widely considered one of the best 3-and-D players in the league today, though his arrival in New York didn’t do much for their projections via Bovada.
“Knicks championship odds before OG trade: +7000. Knicks championship odds now: +7000,” Bovada posted.
It’s strange that the Knicks’ championship odds haven’t changed at all given the addition of Anunoby, but that could change if the team makes another deal in the coming months.
