Carmelo Anthony has announced his retirement from basketball. The former Knicks star is still very close to New York and spoke to Sports Illustrated about his relationship with current Knicks players, focusing on Julius Randle often criticized by fans:
“Now I can wake up and say, ‘Damn, thank goodness they’re not talking about me!’ I can sit and rest,” he added. “I felt it all those years, but being on the other side, now I have a different perspective. I see what needs to happen from a media perspective, but I feel for the athletes”.
