Knicks, Burks: “I’m trying to help my team in any way I can”

Tom Thibodeau is now comfortable closing with Burks, who scored 14 points in the fourth quarter (21 total) on Wednesday in New Orleans to seal the Knicks’ fourth straight win.

Burks went 3 for 4 with 3 points, including a first dagger with 8:11 left which took the lead to 11. This kicked off a celebration on the pitch as players stormed Burks when the Pelicans called a timeout . He has shown how much his comrades like his unassuming behavior.

“I think it’s the approach the manager takes at the start of the season, the fourth quarter is different from the other three quarters,” Burks said before the Knicks who faced the Mavericks in Dallas on Friday. “You have to bring your A-game because it will be a physical fourth because everyone is trying to get the win. I’m trying to help my team in any way I can.”
