Knicks, Blake Griffin can be purchased at a low price

Griffin’s reputation and time spent in the premier Los Angeles market have made him a household name.

However, his services could certainly be purchased at a very discounted price. Of course, there are obvious reasons why this is the case. Griffin is currently 31, has a long history of injuries, and (most notably) is two years old with a $ 35 million cap on his contract.

Bleacher Report speculated that it could be traded with Elfrid Payton, Bobby Portis and Taj Gibson. Obviously, the Knicks would need to secure both Payton’s and Gibson’s contracts and exercise Portis’s team option before trading them. If the Knicks want to use their space to sign free agents before adding a big salary like Griffin, they could be creative in breaking the limit by trading expiring contracts.
