Knicks ‘always had an eye’ on 4-time NBA All-Star: report

This offseason is the best time for the New York Knicks to go all-in in the hunt for stars. Will that star be four-time Minnesota Timberwolves NBA All-Star forward Karl-Anthony Towns?

“The Knicks have always had an eye on Towns, even though this front office has never engaged in serious trade talks for him, according to league sources,” The Athletic’s Fred Katz wrote on July 14.

Towns will forever be tied to the Knicks as long as his former agent, Leon Rose, is the team president. A Creative Artists Agency client, Towns could become available depending on who wins in the ugly tug-of-war between incumbent owner Glen Taylor and the group led by Alex Rodriguez and Marc Lore.
