The Knicks announced Wednesday that guard Alec Burks could be back in action for Thursday’s away game against the Golden State Warriors.
Burks has been out with a sprained left ankle since December 27, 2020. In just three games this season, he has averaged 20.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game.
The team started the year 0-2 before taking a win over the Milwaukee Bucks on December 27, in which Burks had 18 points and went 4 for 5 of three. The Knicks went 6-6 as Burks recovered from injury, including a three-game winning streak.
Guards Austin Rivers (sore right Achilles tendon) and Frank Ntilikina (sprained right knee) are both in doubt for Thursday’s game.
