Killian Hayes best profile that is combined with the Knicks

There may not be another player in the 2020 NBA Draft class who fits the profile of what the Knicks need better than the French guard Killian Hayes.

Hayes is an elite director who can score in all three levels (in the paint, from medium range and along the perimeter). Playing in EuroCup this season, he averaged 12.8 points with 45.5% shots and 39% from the bottom (4.1 attempts from three points per game). But his score only tells a small part of the story as he provided 6.2 assists and saw the part of a basketball quarterback.

There are concerns about his addiction to his left hand, which limits his ability to advance certain dribbling games or create his rebound hits, but that hasn’t stopped him from making international games.

Adding Hayes alongside RJ Barrett would be a great backcourt combination. Hayes could balance Barrett’s poor perimeter throw and work as the main facilitator to allow Barrett to leave him the game and find open lanes to attack the circle.
