The New York Knicks are having one of their best seasons in years and are currently up 2-0 over the Indiana Pacers in the second round of the playoffs.
Despite all the success they’ve seen this year, Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green recently said that the season is a “fluke” and that the Knicks won’t be as good in the near future.
Kendrick Perkins dismissed criticism of the Knicks and defended the promising team.
“I’m so tired of people trying to find something wrong with the Knicks instead of appreciating and applauding what they are doing right now!!! Real talk,” he said on Twitter.
Along with his tweet, Perkins also came forward to defend the Knicks on “First Take” and talked about why the future is so bright for New York.
He said their current success is the result of years of planning and organic growth.
The front office was very smart with their choice of coach Tom Thibodeau and the players on the roster.
The additions of players like Josh Hart, OG Anunoby, and especially Jalen Brunson were brilliant moves leading up to this point.
While Green believes they are having an impressive time, Perkins thinks the good times will continue.
He said the players on the team are fantastic and are only getting better.
