Karl-Anthony Towns was brilliant against the Warriors

The big storyline leading up to the game was how Karl-Anthony Towns would fare against Green and the Warriors. Green made controversial comments about Towns not being in their previous game without acknowledging that the real reason was to attend a funeral.

Towns had a monster performance and tried everything he could to secure the win for New York. He scored 29 points on 12-of-21 shooting from the field and 3-of-5 from three and grabbed 12 rebounds in 30 minutes of play.

Towns started at the beginning and the end. He scored 11 points in both the first and fourth quarters and was the main reason the Knicks stayed in the game bye for most of the second half. Unfortunately, they couldn’t get enough from the other guys to put pressure on Golden State and thus failed to get a big win on the road.
