Karl-Anthony Towns speaks out on Draymond Green choking Rudy Gobert

Karl-Anthony Towns, recently traded to the New York Knicks, provided insightful commentary on the infamous incident involving Draymond Green and Rudy Gobert. Speaking to Shannon Sharpe on the popular “Club Shay Shay” podcast, Towns shed light on Gobert’s perspective, dispelling rumors and highlighting his former teammate’s resilience.

“That situation was so funny. All of a sudden, I was watching one time and I was watching, I saw Draymond do something to Rudy, I was trying to get Draymond out, and I was like, well, we’re going to have a triple nelson going on. And I think, uh, that was a moment where I was, I was surprised that it happened.”

“I’m not going to lie. To be honest, I… You know, you always hear the hype, and we just, we just ignore it. Like I said, I was surprised when it happened to me. I feel like everyone in there was like, wait, is this really happening right now? And we all tried to separate Draymond from Rudy, and the whole thing just flipped.”

“He laughs about it. He jokes about it. So it’s not like he’s… salty and… mad. He laughs about it. He jokes about it. I think it just shows the character and just how much he really is.”

“He just loves what he does and he cares about his craft and he cares about his team. So it also shows the teammate that he is.”
