Julius Randle on if becoming an All-Star is his goal

Two years ago Julius Randle became an All-Star for the first time – and so far the only time – in his career.

After a he recorded a triple-double of 28 points and 16 rebounds in the win against the Suns, the talks of him becoming an All-Star started again.

The 28-year-old center was asked directly if making the All-Star Game is one of his goals.

“You work hard to put yourself in a position to do that,” Randle said. “So it would be amazing. I’d love it. Not necessarily for me, obviously it’s great, but I’d love to be able to experience it with my family, to be able to experience it with my son — both of my sons — because they’re the ones that really make the true. My wife too.

“They’re the people that really make the true sacrifice. They let me dedicate myself to the game the way I’ve been able to do. Summers and night in and night out. They’re the ones that are making true sacrifices, so I’d love to be able to let them enjoy it and see the rewards of it. That’s why it’s important.”
