Less than 20 games into his Knicks career and Bogdanovic could already find himself in the doghouse.
In 17 games played, Bogdanovic averaged 10.1 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game. Unfortunately, he did so with terrible efficiency, with 39/34/82 splits. Not terrible numbers, but for a guy who averaged 46/40/87 when he arrived in New York, it’s fair to be a little disappointed.
In addition to his poor offensive play, his defense is useless. Bojan Bogdanovic is only 34 years old and everyone knows Thibodeau loves defensive-minded guys. Bogdanovic is not one of them. And as a result, his minutes have already been significantly affected.
In the last six games, Bogdanovic has barely played more than 15 minutes per game. He averages four points per game. He shoots 28% from the field and just 21% from three. It’s a concerning result and his minutes are starting to dip into the single digits. He has shown little to no life in the Knicks’ offense and looks like a shadow of the player we saw on the Detroit Pistons earlier this year.
