East GM coach confirms Thibodeau’s job at Knicks is secure

The New York Knicks savored the taste of reaching the conference finals then disillusioned by the Miami Heat. It wasn’t a failure considering the past few seasons and what the expectations were at the start of the season.

Although the Knicks have achieved good results, during the season Tom Thibodeau has often been questioned especially by the fans.

In a meeting with Heavy on Sports NBA insider Sean Deveney, an Eastern Conference GM sheds some light on exactly what the future seems to hold for the seasoned headman.

“Thibs has had his ups and downs in the eyes of some, but to Leon Rose and the people in that front office that matter, he has always been safe. They played well down the stretch and in the playoffs and whatever happens, it’s a safe bet that he’ll be back next year. He has his own system in place and if they can get another star player into that system, they will be a tough team,” the executive told Deveney.
